The Arabs refused the partition plan I know but not because they wanted to kick the Jews into the sea. They had been co-existing relatively peacefully with the long-standing Jewish community there for centuries. It is only when the British shirked their obligation to safeguard the interests of the existing population there and allowed large scale immigration of Jewish people to Palestine did the trouble truly begin. Had the Brits been mindful of their obligations to the existing Jewish and Arab communities they would have sealed the borders tight. If only I could post demographics maps here your arguments wouldn't even need sentences to rebutt. The Arabs weren't saints that's for sure but nor were the Jewish immigrants. The partition plan was hilarious - why should the likes of New Zealand get a say in the future of a part of the world several thousand miles away from them? Simply hilarious.
