    You said, "Spain was the cradle of the Renaissance,due to the Islamic presence there for hundreds of years" Are you perhaps referring to the Golden Age when the Jews & Moors collaborated in Spain 900-1200......Otherwise the renaissance which I think you are referring to 1350-1600 The revival of arts & learning began in ITALY & spread throughout Europe. No Islam baby here. Now u get it ?
