Israel is not a colonial state. In fact, early Zionists, the end of the 19th Century, were colonialist. However, ever since the 2nd aliya, the Zionist movement was no longer colonialist. Even the manifesto of the Poalei Zion party (the largest Zionist political party during the 1910's) condemned colonialism unequivocally.. Furthermore, between the 1910's and the 1930's, several times, the Zionists offered an alliance to the Arabs. Ben Gurion went as far as proposing the creation of a "Semitic confederation" between the Jews and the Arabs. How can this be called colonialism? The British never offered a confederation to the Indians!
