What he is saying is that he doesn't think Iran wants nukes and even if they did - the notion that they would nuke Israel is nonsense because of the Muslim population, and that's without taking Mutually Assured Destruction into account. A Nuclear weapon, ever since the end of WWII has only ever been a deterrent capability. It is a capability that actually ensures that it is never needed to be used.
