The need to preempt Iran and export gas to Egypt was the reason the government gave to push through its controversial plan for Israel's natural gas. Now, this reason may no longer exist.08:52 31.08.15 | 1 comments
The only thing that can affect regional stability is if England were to sell weapons to the arabs put them on a level playing field with Israel in terms of strength but the Europeans and America have a commitment to make sure Israel stays the regions superpower and is not overtaken by an arab country which is why the US especially has refused to sell various weapon systems that Israel get to the arabs as well. Its making the arabs stronger than would affect regional stability not making Israel stronger. Thanks to this decision to refuse to sell British weapons than it means that British arms companies will not get the contract because Israel will just buy an american version and all the profits will go to the american companies. If the British are concerned though about regional stability they will not send weapons to the Syrian rebels. David Cameron is talking about sending portable anti aircraft missiles and anti tank missiles and there is no such thing as a trustworthy rebel and eventually some of these weapons will find their way into terrorist hands and they will be used to take the region out the frying pan and into the fire because if Hezbollah or Hamas get hold of some of these things and shoot down an Israeli jet or destroy merkavas then you can bet there will be another war in Lebanon or Gaza.
