I am dumfounded by the fact that there is no discussion in Israel of the belief mechanism driving the President of Iran, and the group to which he belongs called the 12’ers. Ahmadinajad does not hide these facts. He repeats his belief and wishes almost every time he speaks publically. Yet the so called intellectual and scholars in Israel seem to ignore the significance of his own words from his own mouth. This then blinds the general public in Israel from extremely important information that has direct impact on them, as Iran has direct influence over the more radical elements in Palestinian society. So whenever something happens, one much ask the question “Is Iran pulling the strings on this one?” Unfortunately for Jews, one of the beliefs of the 12’ers is that blood must wash the streets (Jewish blood), before the hidden prophet, called Mahdi, will start making his return to the world after having disappeared approx. 1150 years ago. The 12’ers believe that man can hasten the return of the Mahdi by helping to bring about the violence. If that anti-tank missile fired two months ago would have hit a bus full of kids, we would be at war right now. One 16 year old died on that bus. Why are the intellectuals in Israel ignoring the facts behind what is motivating Ahmadinajad? How can any analysis of events gain credibility when significant and central facts are ignored?
