Israel's "long term security" is based in two simple truths... defensible borders and a non-nuclear Iran. For the first to be a reality, Israel retreating to Levy's view of its borders means Tel Aviv gets showered with Kassam rockets... hardly defensible and plainly insecure and unsafe for the population center. For the second, Israel needs their "friends" in my country to back them, for when the time comes it will be Israel blowing up Iran's nukes - not the US.
