This revolution looks like it is going to last some time. And the US involvement should remain rescue and evacuation, not combatant or advisory to the rebels and certainly not to Gadhafi. One can hope that more of the Libyan army switches sides and starts training the rebels in defense so they can dig in and consolidate their gains against the mercenaries. And if the rebels can start to export oil again, the US and EU can and should assure that no payments go to the Gadhafi side, but instead to the other side or to a trust.
