Having your cake and eating it too, is found in attempts to silence and discredit Ha'aretz as well as concerned observers around the world witnessing vendetta and ethnic cleansing in the Palestinian conflict. The WWII Jewish generation in Europe suffered due to the world-wide blind eye turned to Hitler's exterminations. Only brave individuals were the exception which proved this rule, and Ha'aretz and its grateful readers are not about to betray this principle. You characterize the settler enterprise as conforming Jewish tradition. Breaking international laws, land theft, bullying, and institutionalized terrorism is hardly Jewish tradition. The Hebrew Bible is God's gift to the world, emphasizing morality and offering hope, uniquely enshrining principles of religious freedom and tolerance. It does not vindicate Crusaders, (neo-Joshuas role playing against pseudo-Canaanites) Inquisitors, nor bigots of any religion. Palestinians have no less ancestral rights than Jews.
