If you ARE a jewish state, then there is no reason to insist in being recognized. If you are not, recognizing you as a jewish state will not make you into one. We have no intention of pandering to your insecurities. Italy is at least 95% catholic, Greece is 95% catholic orthodox, neither wishes to be called a catholic state....... let alone insisting to be recognized as such. The religion has nothing to do with the state. Church and state have existed as separate entities since the Revolution of 1789 in France. States have come and gone and the Church has always been there. On the other hand, the Islamic Republic pf Iran...... you are in good company.
