Olim who seek to reside in occupied territory are exacerbating an already tense situation. The state of Israel has every right exist within the borders defined at the establishment of her statehood in 1947. Israel has every right to police those original borders as she sees fit. Israel has no right to permanent settlement within the UN defined borders of the state of Palestine. Israel has the obligation to cease all provocations and recognize Palestine's right to exist. Palestine also has the obligation to cease all provocations and recognize Israel's right to exist. These things in no particular order, and only then, may both states be recognized as responsible members of the global community.
