To Mark Lincoln - The only way to gaurantee Israel's safety from all forms of violence and force is to wipe out all people who express, or have the potential to express, the desire to see Israel destroyed/weaker/subjugated. This currently would mean carpet-nuclear-bombing most of the Middle-East as well as significant sections of Europe. I've said it before and I'll say it again - violence has always begotten violence; if Israel ever wants to see a time of true peace and understanding with its neighbours it needs to show that it is the morally advanced state that it claims to be and counter violence with negotiation, negotiation, negotiation (I usually cite the Norethern Ireland conflict here - peace was not achieved by Britain invading the IRA supply bases in Eire, it was achieved by engagement with civilians and, consequently, the isolation of the terrorists from mainstream culture). Cheers.

Why we don't know how to pick our leaders

Our craving for ideology means that we are partial to ideological leaders. But we need leaders who will make smart decisions that are aligned with the public interest.
