The polarisation of the two extremes of secular and Orthodox has confused the issues of state, people and identity. This confusion wrongly enables justification to some to deny fundamental principles of expression to others, thereby preventing the state from undertaking its fundamental obligation to its principles. In all societies and in particular Israel, these signs of confusion require people to act, speak out and say 'No - not in this society'
