Nehemia Shtrasler is confused about Goliath and David and also about Ben Gurion's call. The call to be "a light unto the nations" is a call from the Torah and not something Gurion came up with. Now Shtrasler calls Israel "a darkness on the nations". His opinion seems to be totally disconnected from the Jewish faith and moral. I agree that we still have some homework to do to become "the light" but we still are more moral and a superior behavior than most nations in war and terror situations. Just consider the actions of Russia, the USA not to mention the terrorists Palestinians. It is internal opinions like Nehemia Shtrasler that most encourage anti-Israeli boycotts not Israel's behavior.
