I have no idea what prompted Barak to make the public announcements that he did during the cabinet meeting - but he showed, as Begin and Bogi said, gross irresponsibility. I agree that Iran's developing nuclear arms is worrisome - not because I think they will use them, rather that they will pass them on to terrorist groups. But for Israel to make a "go it alone" strike is ludicrous. Iran's response would be to rain down surface-to-surface missiles on us at an enormous cost in human lives. So, Barak, let's get realistic.
