Finding freedom in the Mid-East is a daunting task. Whether among Israeli Zionists or Muslim autocracies there appears to be no room for debate or freedom of expression and movement. Arab Israelis have always tried to assimilate under their second-class status in Israel. Now that they venture out beyond Israeli borders to voice their dissatisfaction with Israeli policy they become unworthy of the freedom Israel promotes as a constitutional democracy. Question is; can Israel's professed democracy overcome its own theological repression? Or does the theological boundaries exist in much the same manner as their Arab potentate neighbors?
