Many women, killed by partners, had fled to shelters but went home when support ended.09:23 14.02.16 | 0 comments
The assertion by Gideon Levy and others, that poverty is the source of terrorism is an outrageous oversimplification. Recent history has proven that most terrorists are relatively well educated and come from middle to upper class society. Terror results from envy and hatred of free societies. In addition, Jews are singled out for an extra dose of hatred because despite 2000 years of relentless persecution, most have managed to succeed economically. Terrorism and poverty will not cease to exist until radical Islam, (to paraphrase Yale Historian Paul Kennedy), comes to terms with the 19th century and its legacy of secularization, democracy, laissez-faire economics, social change and intellectual questioning.
