There is always more emotion then sense in these discussions. Kissenger's remarks certainly are easy to condemn, especially in Israel, but then there were lots of horrendous things going on in the world then and now that were not necessarily America's strategic concern. I tend to think that is all Kissenger met. And Foxman, while not my favorite spokesman about anything, may have had it right this time. Fox man is an unabashed supporter of Israel and all he was saying was that Nixon and Kissenger did a lot for Israel. It's hard to argue that Nixon was not antisemitic, and I certainly would not try, but. I think he was just expressing run of the mill nonsense of the time. Hey, that's why we have education: to get past such knee jerk reactions. Let's all grow up and not throw grenades over every possible slight.
