Gideon the sad thing is that there is order in most muslim countries - but in all these countries it is achieved through tyranny and strong arm. Eygpt is only stable because Mubarak rules like Franco did. Pakistan, Indonesia, Libya etc etc. Saddam Husein a Hitleresque dictator who murdered at home and in his wars over a million of his citizens knew his people. He knew that without an iron fist the people would be at each others throats. And so to Gaza, Hamas too know that a brutal tyranny will keep order, and they have proved it. This sort of rule will sort out the west bank too. As you correctly observe they need to understand that if this brutal discipline is not brought to bear on the Kassam situation and other attacks on Israel, Israel too can play this game. By the way I think Malaysia is an example of a Muslim democracy where order without tyranny rule but I may be wrong.
