The Israeli Left has continuously lost influence throughout most of my life. But then so has the American Left. If Mr Bellin thinks that making sound criticism, and offering constructive suggestions leads to anything but a seat on the sidelines of government, he is wrong. If the left wants to matter, it needs to start making arguments about how to make life better for Israelis and taking on aggressively those who are making it worse.
