This is painful, no doubt. But the reality that every citizen of Lebanon knows is that there will never be democracy in that country until militias are disarmed. Hebollah was in no hurry to disarm. Any why were they so armed in the first place? Israel had fully withdrawn from Lebanon according to the UN. Sheba farms is Syrian land, not Lebanese and it merely serves as a useful pretense for Hezbollah to keep fighting. Many Lebanese will soon realize that Israel is trying to do the dirty work that they themselves were unwilling or incapable of doing. If Quebec decided to launch missiles against the US we would demand that Canada halt the attacks. If they didn't you can bet severe action would be taken against Quebec. The images of civilian deaths in Israel and Lebanon are painful. But where is the apology from Hezbollah when one of their ball-bearing laden rockets crashes into a civilian area and kills a child? Or was that their true intention in the first place?
