Yes, that is indeed what Hamas relies on -- controlling their people with a twisted version of Islam. Yousef has joined the ranks of others who were indoctrinated from childhood to hate, and after moving away (and embracing a religion that taught love, not hate) has spoken out (Shoebat and Darwish). He is brave and righteous and deserves support and respect.
