Dutch, Your historical facts are half empty. The Palestinians and surrounding Arab countries declared war on Israel immediately after the 1948 UN Resolution that gave birth to the State of Isreal. Fortunately they lost a war that they started and unfortunately the Arab refugee problem came to be much to their blame. The fact that they lost territory as a result of their defeat - that is unfortunately the price they paid for their foolish policies. Regarding refugees, let us not forget that Israel absorbed over half a million refugees form Arab countries after being kicked out from Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Morroco, Tunisia, Yemen, Iran, etc. I guess, that according to your logic, the Israeli gov't should have placed these refugees in tent cities for fifty years in order to convince people like you that refugees cannot be constructively absorbed by other willing nations.
