We could go on and on talking about Syrian involvement in Lebanese affairs, no one is defending Syria, Iran or Lebanon for that matter. The fact which I stated was that Hezbollah was created as a response to Lebanon's invasion and occupation by Israeli forces, is it not true? And yes, I have heard of Arafat & his henchmen, whose aim was to get their own state much like the Yishuv - including radical groups such as Lehi and Irgun - did during the British Mandate era. Going back to the main topic, Hezbollah emerged as a resistance movement and is still widely regarded as such today, it's completely different from al-Qaeda or Islamic Jihad. France and Germany don't recognise it as a terrorist organisation, same with Russia, the European Union and Britain (only the military wing), not to mention India, China, Muslim countries, South America and African countries. In any case, it is in Israel's own interest to settle matters with the Palestinians before it becomes completely isolated, as the US remains their only unconditional supporter and true 'friend'.
