The SA missiles are no match for the IAF. Any Arabs here who are gloating about Syria now having the capability to shoot down Israeli planes should take a chill pill. It will not happen. The Arab armies have neither the weapons or the intellect to confront the IDF. The Russian sale, however, does set dangerous precedent. Russia, like Israel, is a victim of Islamic terrorism. By selling such weapons to a country that is at the forefront of sponsoring terrorism Russia is asking for trouble. Strategically it is not a problem for terrorist groups to obtain these kind of missiles on the black market. It's the fact that Russia is SELLING them to a terrorist supporting country which is most disturbing.
