The young voters especially first time voters are not concerned about all the same issues that older voters are like the economy, foreign relations and security etc. Most the politicians in the Knesset are professional politicians and they go after the older vote. Lapid is a famous face so he is the man they know, he promises a new type of politics without saying what that new politics is and he is very good at telling people what they want to hear. So he is naturally much more appealing to the young voters than any of the big parties. if your a first time voter with limited issues that concern you and both Bibi & Lapid promise the same thing on housing who are you going to vote for, the professional politician or the tv star promising to be something new?
