Sharons unillateral fence was a very good move for Israel. It temporarily seperated Israel from the bombers of and for Islam (Bombs for and against have the same effect once you take revenge bombs into the picture)but dont be mistaken, this fence is not a peace fence. By definition peace cannot exist in a vacumn. It takes two and maybe more. Peace will in some way have to be worked out with the parties involved.Any idea that it can be different is naive. A cessation of hostilities for a while it can be but peace, never. I dont believe in a peace, that will start with the type that Khalid constantly harps on,like get out of the lands blah blah first.Khalid is dreaming. I think Abbas has a handle on what it takes and so does Sharon. You can fool the people some of the time and you know the rest. The people of Israel demand peace. The people of Palestine demand dignity. This is it and it cannot be had with this fence alone. Yesterday was History,Tommorow a Mystery but today there is a chance we can make something better for these two challenged people.
