The 2-state solution will cause Israel to lose land it doesn't own. It's a question of giving back land that doesn't belong to it.Israel might be doing well and be happy with the land, but Israel is occupying the land of over 5 million Palestinians. They arent so happy with the land and not doing well. The issue is not losing land to achieve peace, it is to withdraw from all land occupied in 1967. By not withdrawing, Israel is in violation of international law. It is in violation of at least 3 UN resolutions, and by building settlements in the West Bank and annexing Jerusalem, it is also in violation of the 4th Geneva Convention, and therefore in commission of a war crime. If Israel does not begin attempting to conform to international law, it will become increasingly isolated from the international community. Such signs are on the wall already. As that isolation builds, the settlements in the West Bank, and whether Israeli's like Obama or not will become irrelevant.
