Henry Kissinger is a fascinating character, and also a mixed bag for any side who has a "stake" in his decisions. He blew the opening of the Yom Kippor War, but then compensated and in the end was good for Israel. He famously advised Nixon to be prepared to "go all the way" (nuclear) in Vietnam. Yet he also conducted the negotiations that got the US out of Vietnam. You decide!
