I'm not surprised to see how many blind supporters of Israel's 40 year occupation want to shoot the messenger who bears the message they do not want to hear. Nowhere did I read in their diatribes even one word about the ongoing confiscation of Palestinian lands and water resources. Nowhere did I read that they acknowledge the fact that Israel did indeed do whatever possible to have a Palestinian economy that could never compete with Israel. Yes, Arafat and the PA were and are absolutely corrupt but that is not why the Palestinians are in such desperate straits. Blame the damned occupation. Finally, as the late Tanya Reinhart wrote, it is time to end the war of 1948 and come to terms with the anger that Palestininians feel about the loss of their homeland. Meanwhile, those of you who live in countries other than Israel, stop using the word "we" when you write about what you think should be done. You don't live in Israel. Unless you are an expat, Israel is not your country.
