Surprisingly the article doesn't explain that Khatami was the leader of the so-called "moderate" wing of the theocratic hierarchy and the current president the spokesman for the so-called "hard-line" wing in the last presidential elections. Otherwise Khatami is completely believable in his speech. He is for an increasingly religious society and that includes Jewish and Christian religions too. Me, I'm against the hold of religion on society. Hence against the theocratic regime in Iran and the Zionist regime in Israel.
