Khalid says: "Hamas is not enemy of Abbas or the PA. Hamas complements, not undermine, the PA" By refusing to allow for law and order in the Palestinian communities, Hamas is an enemy to those in the Palestinian communities who truly desire peace. Further, the international community will not invest in a terrorist state. "Yes, Hamas doesn`t recognize Israel but Israel also doesn`t recognize Hamas. However, this stand is only ideological, even theological, but not political. After all, Hamas is not a state, it is only a group, a political movement." Rubbish!! Hamas is a TERRORIST organization. Any organization that attempts to inflict maximum civilian murders and justifies these murders is a terrorist organization. Whether terrorist Hamas recognizes Israel's right to exist and right to security is irrelevant. The United Nations recognizes Israel's right to exist and its right to security, which is all that matters. For the Palestinian people to gain any international respect, they must repudiate terrorism..... How much respect did Arafat have with the world community? His refusal to repudiate terrorism garnered him no favors towards the end of his life .... where he was left to rot. Does Gaza want to gain the world's respect, or do they wish to be left to rot? It is their choice on how they deal with moral evils, one of which is their affection to their terrorist groups.

Why we don't know how to pick our leaders

Our craving for ideology means that we are partial to ideological leaders. But we need leaders who will make smart decisions that are aligned with the public interest.
