The chorus of screams of "anti-semite" and the personal attacks against Ken Loach show that his comments have hit home. This is exactly what is needed. Without international pressure, Israel will never abandon occupation. Yet any true friend of Israel knows that this is what it must do. The war on Lebanon, supported by most of Israel's left, should have convinced the world that there will be no change without pressure, boycotts, divestment, etc. Boycott against occupation, not against Israel. Can anyone who is genuinely opposed to occupation, who truly supports the Geneva Accords, suggest a better solution? Critics of occupation who do nothing about it are part of the problem.
