    An erroneous and ill-planned war with Iraq that had no role in 9/11 saw over 100,000 dead on both sides with many more wounded and scarred for life, cost the US trillions of dollars, and only empowered Iran to have more influence in the region. At least when the US went into Afghanistan after the Taliban refused to extradite its Al Qaida "guests" they got Bin Laden eventually and revenge for his cowardly, brutal attack on the American homeland on 9/11. The US may be partially bankrupt financially but the likes of their Islamic militant enemies spreading their "religious" death and destruction Caliphate Crusade worldwide are totally bankrupt morally.
