The last KC135 was built in 1965. They are obsolete and worn out and the US is getting rid of them in favor of the KC767/KC46, based on the Boeing 767 airliner, which Israel already operates. The KC767 has twice the capability of the KC135 according to the Pentagon. Israel has already built 3 KC767 tankers for South American airforces under contract, and could supply itself with this far more modern tanker, instead of jury-rigging the obsolete KC135, which can't even get to Iran and back (range only 1500 miles with full fuel)!! However Obama refuses to let Israel buy KC767s, or build them for her own use - only to sell to others. Congress ordered Obama to provide Israel with advanced tankers in July 2013, and he instead decided to only provide the junked KC135, which has to be reconditioned from the scrapyard in Arizona where they sit corroding in the desert. Cheating Israel and defying Congress. Of course, the idiot Ehud Barak went along with this.
