Look, Mr. Arens belongs to the older generation of the Israeli politics and we should not judge him hard even if we disagree with his position. The truth is that the situation in Gaza needs to be normalized - people are given jobs, in very simple terms, so that they would have something to aspire for and to lose, too. May be it has to be taken under some international patronizing authority, May be the Westerner, which now deplore the fate of the Palestinians, should just do it forcibly, since the locals do not have experience in managing peace life. Not just pouring money to the pockets of their corrupt leaders, but to build factories and create an economical structure, may be even sort of artificial, but then it will probably start working.
