Karl, you ignore the reason that Israel was created in its current location or you are simply unaware. For 2,000 years Jews expressed their desire to return to the holy land, well before Islam even existed. Every new year we say "next year in Jerusalem." Jerusalem is the at the very core of our aspirations, the Temple Mount our holiest place. Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times in the Torah, never in the Koran, except by allusion. We include Jerusalem in our prayers every day, we must face Jerusalem when we pray. Nevertheless, Jerusalem cannot accommodate all Jews, even only those in Israel, hence one of the needs for a state, besides ensuring that events like the Holocaust, and other attempts at persecution do not occur again. Kudos to Massoud; I hope that your progressive stance spreads and we can one day sit down together in peace. You demonstrate that there's always hope.
