You comment: 'The US politicians are saying it openly so why do you think it is an illusion?' Where do you get this 'information' from? The CIA 'destabilising the ME'?? Sorry mate, I don't buy that one! What has the 'West' possibly got to gain long term by adding yet more basket cases to the World Bank/IMF list? We can hardly afford all the charity donations as it is. You'll be blaming us for Darfur soon. If its oil you're referring to, then stable economies are far better for everyone, locals & 'Westerners' alike. We need ME oil as much as the loacals need our petrodollars. What I DO believe is that RELIGION is destabilising the entire world, not just the ME. Right now there is a 'spike' of 'Radical' Moslem violence. How long it will last is anybody's guess. A start would be co-religionists cutting the self-denial, in the same way many 'Westerners' critisize their own leadership. Problem is ME politics are so tied up with religion/superstition, its hard to see an opening.
