It split off from Likud, but it didn't move to any place you could call centre. In the light of that, it's odd that so many people have put their hopes in Kadima for committing to things that events are proving will have to be faced. Kadima's last PM, Ehud Olmert, said it like it was when he knew it would make no difference, but Tzipi Livni has never gone along with that. We don't actually have a genuine opposition party with any clout. As Shocked points out, there *is* no centre party to vote for. And a population as apathetic as ours is at present is unlikely to to look for other, more adventurous, alternatives.
