I find it sad that the Brithish and US governments did such a bad job of helping establish a Jewish homeland. Both a two-state and binational option were discussed and the tensions and fighting that would follow the establishment of only an independent Jewish state were predicted. The current Isreali and Arab violence was almost inevitable. However, we all own what we do, no matter how much history and heredity have predisposed us. Isreal feels that it has the right to enter another country and execute a man they feel merits death. This clearly supports other countries entering onto foreign soil to execute anyone they feel merits death on religious, political, or ideological grounds. The base issue here is that as some strive to modernize and industrilize areas of the middle east to move beyond barbarism and religious war, others enter a foreign country and essentially tell the citizens of that country that they are a lesser people. I suppose nuclear conflict is inevitable. Sad
