You sound bitter but really what do you expect from any USA administration? Politics is always the art of the possible and Obama is a politican, not your saviour. It is currently impossible for any US President to not provide cover for Israel - we all know why. This does not absolve primary responsiblity for the long term well being of Israel falling on the Israeli Government, not on the USA. Its reasonable that Obama pay consideration not only to his re-election chances but also the to the re-election chances of the Democratics. If this has a long term negative impact on Israel, then so what. BTW, there is no unbreakable bond between the USA and Israel. You are a high maintenance ally and are extracting too high a price from the USA. The success of the Israeli lobby in the USA could well be your undoing unless there a more realistic leadership in Israel and a recognition that the days Zionist expansion are over. The USA has many allies and be sure that it will eventually act in its own self-interest (with either a Democratic or Republican President) regardless of donations or lack thereof, that flow from AIPAC.
