"Just one more mitsva". It is counterproductive to demand that a Jew suddenly do all mitsvot suddenly and perfectly. Its too overwhelming and causes Jews to turn away from mitsvot. Ultra-orthodox know better than to overwhelm a fellow Jew, and yet this is precisely what they demand from converts: sudden overwhelming mitsvot compliance. Its normal and healthy to allow converts to be lax and slowly gravitate toward more mitsvot. People gradually realize the value of mitsvot and incorporate "just one more mitsva" into their life. Allowing a plurality of Judaism is what exists and is what is necessary.
