Judaism must prioritize human rights and personal freedoms. Only Judaism enables the survival of the Jewish people. However sectarianism, that seeks to destroy the diversity of ways of being Jewish, is itself a threat to Judaism. Hilel said: "Whatever you dont want others to do to you, dont do to others. This is all of the Tora". It is also all of human rights. It is impossible to both follow Tora and violate someone elses human rights at the same time. Tora is human rights. We love God by means of loving humans. Haredi Jews have a right to defend their own ways of being Jewish, but they must also defend other Jews who have different ways of being Jewish. Jerusalem doesnt belong to Haredim. This city belongs to all Jews - who have ever lived, who live now, and who ever will live - across the planet. Jerusalem is and must be pluralistic.
