Removed the plus sign?? Where did you get that crap?? Not in the Yeshivah that I went to. As far as the Red Cross goes, Israel's Red Cross wanted to use a star of David as its symbol -- after all, Moslem countries use the red crescent and Iran has its own symbol, both allowed by the International Red Cross. However, the Arab countries, formerly with support of the Communists, refused to allow Israel to use the red star. Finally, there was a compromise in which the Israeli red cross was allowed in, but had to use the red diamond, as a compromise symbol for anyone who did not want to use one of the permitted symbols. And I don't worry too much about the AD and BC. After all, it seems that when they tried to set the calendar to start with Jesus' birth (about 350 years later), they were a bit off. It seems that Jesus was really born in 4 uhhh, B.C. (that doesn't make much sense, does it?)
