Morning Josh, thanks for your reply. I read that you have read many books, that is wonderful, so have we zionists, many many books. But books are written by individuals usually with an agenda. Unlike you I have chosen to speak with Arab friends and not so friendlies & have followed the path of their stroll. It must be remembered that in 1948, there were few Arabs that thought that the Jews had any chance against the combined armies of the Arab world, supported by their Brit friends, armed with weaponry and a Nasserian arrogance. It was taken as a given that the Jews would be defeated, and as in the glolrious days of Mohammed, the booty would be divied out to his army of conquerers. Read Weinstock's "Stories of Dogs" very interesting. Um al Fahm to Jenin, a short walk, half a day. Many left, guided by their dreams, Arab radio urging them to make room for their troops, & of course Jews who realized that the enemy had to be defeated. It was a time for war, get it?
