It's not ethnic cleanings to say Jordan is Palestine. Not a single Palestinian needs to be uprooted. The point is that Jordanian control should be extended into the West Bank because the Palestinians have demonstrated absolutely no aptitude or interest in self-rule or state building. I clung to the Oslo premises much longer than most of the readers here but now I, too, despair that the Pals are willing or able to build a state. The One State argument will leave the Jews at anothers' mercy. No thanx, been there with bad results. And I'd prefer to leave Jordan alone. But what choice is there? A failed terror state in the territories, or a responsible gov't in Amman? Let the Bedouin and Palestinians work out self-rule in the future. At least Israel won't be an occupier.
