Since Mubarak was toppled the gas pipeline which provided Egyptian gas to Israel and Jordan has been sabotaged numerous times and so Israel started pumping from its new gas fields rather than continuing to buy Egyptian gas. Since Egypt can no longer be relied on to provide Jordan with gas they are now buying from Israel so now we have the power to put the lights out in Jordan by just stopping supplying gas. If Jordan wants to keep the Israeli gas firing their power stations in future then they are going to have to do more than just cooperate.
