The world over 60 years ago and more all the way back was different. It was imperialist, xenophobic and not kind. Many people were displaced. America itself became home to many displaced people who infact displaced the native peoples. All over the world people were squeezed and pushed around in favour of power.Today the world has changed in a lot of ways but still there are problems. Democracy has helped but only if the people have gone along with the idea.Democracy and fundamentalism have a hard time working together. At least Islamic fundamentalism does with democracy for its agenda lies in the past way more than others who have pushed forward.Because people themselves have less control over their environment in arab countries fundamentalism is an agenda for many and if not its easily allowed more power than anywhere else in the world. Israel cannot succumb to this system. The arabs refuse to join the democratic countries.Even Lebanon cant control its fundamentalists.
