Actually, Johnboy, I think if you looked at policy as well as hubris, one could say Ye who are without hubris cast the first aspersion.. While you make several good points, they are neither based on fact, nor reality. While Israel is indeed closely allied with the US and US policies, Israel survived, and grew at a rapid pace it's first 20 years without the support or aid of the US. I doubt that Israeli leadership has decided that the US will ALWAYS support Israel and never waver. I have every reason to believe that Israel has back up plans and strategies well developed for the unlikely chance that the US will suddenly make a 180 degree abut face. If anything, it is hubris to ASSUME otherwise.
