Now back to Resolution 242: Your interpretation of it is that if Arabs commit aggression which backfires on them (they lose land), it's not a problem, they can just demand the return of the land and start their aggression again. Of course, others interpret R242 differently: To them it means that Israel has to withdraw to secure and recognized borders! And that means some possible border adjustments (for security) that need to be negotiated and agreed by both parties and most importantly recognized!
